This is the series of acrylic tint drawing depicting people's life in three parts of Europe, one in Grange-over-Sands where now we live, another in Whitburn near Newcastle upon Tyne where my wife's parents live and another in Michelstadt, the beautiful medieval town in Germany. I tried to focus on depicting people's life in dramatic contrast between light and shade. This series also gave me a great hint how to approach colours for gaining its transparency and vividness to the full in the similar technique of watercolour. The series also gave me a great insight how to develop use of acrylic colours for the hatching technique using Japanese sumi ink and acrylic which I would create soon afterwards.
