    • The original work was produced in 2008, which was a part of a series on the theme of nature. It is also a part of a series of my interpretation of the concept of Still Life genre.

The ladybird is probably one of the most beloved insects in the world because of its tiny pretty appearance. It is called “tentōmushi” in Japan, which is said to derive from Yin and Yang philosophy due to its nature of flying towards the sun. Whatever that means, the fact remains that the ladybird is the universally beloved insect and I love to paint it!
