    Tulip in Green

    • This is the print carefully reproduced from the original work “Tulip in Green”, which was produced in 2009. This work was a part of a small series of large-flowered tulips from our small garden. I prefer to portray insignificant flowers, however, tulips are often featured in Still Life paintings by old Dutch masters. This is my tribute to the old masters of Still Life, who conveyed the message of “memento mori (remember your mortality)” through their work of the ephemeral beauty.
