    Yewbarrow Grove

    • The original work was produced in 2008, which was a part of a series on the theme of nature. It is also a part of a series of my interpretation of the concept of Still Life genre.

There is the wood behind our house. It’s called Yewbarrow Wood and my most frequent walking route for taking our dog. Through the wood I often took further to reach either Hampsfell or Eggerslack Wood on a fine day. On sunny summer days, I often encounter the scene that the flickering light through green leaves plays with the wind. It’s so mesmerising that I just stand admiring the view for a while. This work “Yewbarrow Grove” is depicting one of the scenes. I’m glad if I could have delivered the essence of its beauty through this work at all.
